David Flanagan is an elite age group triathlete focusing on long distance events. David balances his semi-professional training schedule, which can see him train in excess of 20 hours a week, with a full time job in financial markets.
A healthy nutrition and fuelling plan is vital to David’s performance in both training and racing as well as in the office. This challenge is made all the more difficult due to a number of food sensitivities including eggs, gluten and dairy.
In a short triathlon career of only two years, David has already completed four olympic distance events, four Ironman 70.3 distance events including Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Port Macquarie and Forster and has twice completed the Husskison Long Course Triathlon.
